Poem Number 12074
I've never seen the Virgin Mary,
in a backyard or in the sky,
But she speaks to me all the same
and hears my plaintive cry.
Please, tell of your son, fair Mary
Was he sullen or was he gay?
Did he skip stones on the Jordan,
or hide away to pray?
Commentary:
He was gay. :- Milo

Did you know him Milo?

WHAT? Now your saying Jesus was gay? Nothing is sacred to some even less for others!
-------
Looking at the line it is pretty easy to discern that gay was used to mean
happy. A little common sense people....*sigh*
-------
Milo some things are just not funny or cute when you insult people's beliefs, use a little wisdom!
-------
Poet wondered if her son was sullen or gay. I guessed it was the latter. :- Milo
-------
Gay used to mean happy, cheerful, merry. Have no idea how it came to used as a sexual preference term! Oldie
