Poem Number 12073
Looking back at life,
there was hope, joy, and beauty
but one wonders about a different road,
more spontaneous, less cowed,
with adventure and less duty
to make them proud....the ones I loved,
to see their faces shine.
I guess it's the way that was meant to be,
a straight line without a tilt, for as I look back,
my life is free of guilt.
Commentary:
A life free of guilt? That is sad? Nothing you regret? Nothing you regret not doing?
-------
Sure, everyone has a few regrets, but nothing that had anything to do honoring my parents. Author
