i love the arrogance
of your modesty
it always makes me smile
some would consider
dismissive, offensive
that ever familiar brushing
of compliments, smiles
of looks, attention
forgetting or just not noticing
the three shades of red
lurking, crawling up to your face ...
the dragon manifestation of your shyness
your dragon forever
your innate company
those times you've been crucified
because of your friend ... lost count, huh?
to be in a cultural medium, where this dragon
is not quite accepted .... it's difficult ...
can be seen as a curse, a hindrance ....
but i'm glad ... i'm thankful ...
you harnessed its beauty
