Poem Number 11700
Unknown

Commentary:
Unknown,
unknowable.
a whiff
of incense
promising
unseen
joys,
loves,
a brush
of velvet,
dark sensuous.
Or,
a step
into the
shadow world.
fangs of terror,
bite, tear,
fear
coils
in smoky
circles.
Step
off the edge,
enter the
unknown.

-------
Unknown is what all tomorrows are no matter how well planned, unknown is what death is no matter who thinks they know what. Absorbing poem. scooby-doo
-------
Sounds a bit like a commercial... maybe to a TV series or something. It sort of has the effect of teasing the reader
who might expect a few more concrete images. The pacing is hesitant and broken... I get the sense of never
having really known what the poem is about... which IS the point, I suppose... Have I been robbed here? :)

(wondering if this is really what the unknown tastes like...)

Don't know. The unknown ceases to be the unknown once you are there! JFC
