Poem Number 11680
Puppies can be fun
but when on the run they can be trouble
precious bits & pieces pulled out from the shed
left strewn over the lawn like rubble
chewed garden hoses left in pieces
and sunken sprinklers dug around
only one gardening glove to been seen
the other no where to be found
Oh no! Mother's best flower bed
a picture of ---destruction!
Why must puppies do this
it's as though they have an addiction
Clothes on the line are not spared
they make a good game of tug
or carted off to Puppy's bed
to sleep on as a good warm rug
here he can curl up into a tight ball
never knowing he was ever a nuisance
his soft brown puppy eyes blinking
on his face a look of sweet innocence
Commentary:
i like it, a, very descriptive. keep up the good work! -lw

line 7 --should read "be" & not "been". Wasn't keen about seeing I'd put the word "pieces" in twice & close together.
Thanks lw, I just felt i had to keep "pushing" . (G). 'a'
