Through all of the confusion,
chaos amass
I remain.
Like an optical illusion
seen through cloud of gas
Yet I restrain.
What can I do
but put pen in hand?
Who can stop the words
raging through all the land?
Through all of the division
made in the near past
I remain.
It all draws to conclusion
these words will be my last
yet I restrain.
Because I like to talk and write
because I can't still the uge inside of me
because I am strong in spirit
because I am not dead yet!

Don't worry cor, the result was well worth the wait (or lack of). I feel the same -- as long as there is breath in my body and an idea in my head, I will write, and no matter if I say I won't return to this site to read or share poems, it inadvertently sucks me back. I am hooked on writing and reading other's work, no matter what war rages here.
