i dont have a best friend, nor any real friends outside of family, dont see them much. guys at work arent friends really, just coworkers. i dont trust "friends" anymore. great that i've got this site.
its fun to visit here once a day. its sorta like giving a friend a call.

dt, i've got loads of "friends" and not one among them gives and honest damn about a poem. The only best friend i ever had took his own life. At least he thought that it was his own. That was 16 years ago. He would have read my poem and so would you. That is why i come here. i am greatful that you do too...fallon

Dt your words are so personable ---In poetry we shed our sense of urgency that usually comes with a relationship. We write to clear our souls of all the clutter. As I become more a part of poetry and this page, I find I dont visit any other web site just this one. The bonds that come with acceptance and sharing your soul is like making friends. Atleast with people that are open minded enough to read and comment In a positive manner ----whether the reader likes or dislikes the poem. dt , it is sad to see you so down & forlorn, you've faltered & stumbled into a flat patch & the page you've opened just seems a bit dull & grey.
You just need some color to give yourself a 'lift',so dip your pen into a rainbow & pen a few lines, if it is still lacking, then dip the pen again, until you create enough color & warmth, to comfort your chilled soul.
For buried in you are gem stones of beautiful ray & hue. You just need to probe & excavate to find the hidden jewels. Build yourself a cluster to bring you back to "cheer".
Don't let the noise of the crowd drown your inspiration, for not all have ears to hear.

good morning cheer from you all is a great thing before i wrap this monkey in clothes and send him out to work. i'm to intense for some and way to calm for others. i give myself to completely when i find someone who honestly cares to put there time in with my own and spend some time just
being a friend. i guess i drive people away with my insistence on honesty
