Poem Number 10823
Bones ache this gray winter morning
My tired eyes open and behold a wrinkled hand
Lying beside my face like a stranger.
Slow realization of its familiarity -
Oh, yes, I've known you nearly fifty years -
But when did you change like that?

Insidiously it creeps up,bit by bit. One day you're going about your business and the shadow appears, called age. A shock to the 18 yr. old in your heart. Jane
