a name i haven't heard in a while hangs in the air
empty & free of purpose now & carved in stone
oh fuck you were only twenty why did you do that

you wanted to be strong, stop smoking, get married, never go back home
why didn't i call or drop by, would that have changed your last
decision - people do that i know but that doesn't mean it's ok
old people die but not you not when you haven't even started yet

i just hope you don't regret it, really i do, & that you feel better
i will buy you some flowers or a pot with waving grass
to remind you of the green time we had, weeks in the irish rain

thanks for the friendly comments... drm - we could have been close,
really good friends, i'm sure - we spent three tough weeks together,
in ireland, and you do get to know each other when you're together
practically 24/7... i was quite ill most of that time, and if it had
not been for some very nice people (like her) i think i would have
panicked completely... hard to define (=label) a relationship like
that, therefore this lenghty answer. (rhia)
