Poem Number 10724
Nature does manifest a language
Lucky the man who's learned well
To be a humble listener
For one who listens will find that
He has learned the true ways of life
Everything around him is gold.
His friendships will never grow old.
for his bond is not with man but with god
what a language to speak
in a world all too odd. . .
Commentary:
this is beautiful & brings a vision to me of sitting quietly in the woods or by a stream--listening--window watcher

these lines are, for me, a justification for the study of science,
the expression of art, and the search for God...it must be a poem
if you managed to concentrate so much meaning in so few words!

this is how i felt as i was driving to sedona, az. & saw hues & beauty foreign to chicago a.k.a. flatlander.
nature does indeed have a language & she whispers to one's heart .... Drm

lovely poem. how true it is that we have no other relationship as the one we have with nature and thereby God...this one goes in my book. thank you :) justme
-------
I think the poem should end with the last line "in a world all too odd"
it's done.
