No more incandescant screen
Knuckles crack, arms stretch
Jingle of keys, squeak of oak door
Shade my eyes, sunlight through trees
Earthen floor, snowy rug
Who's online doesn't enter mind.
The asphalt road, the radio hums
Broad smile, hug from a friend
What sweet thrill a voice is.

Hell yes,"what sweet thrill a voice is"!There is nothing wrong with this sentiment at all.We depend on these machines too much,when we should depend on ourselves even more.This experience is alright,in moderation,but we should not let our lives be strictly synthetic.Excellent piece,duckfoil,even if it is ironic.(~shadowchild~)

great poem -- i love "snowy rug" and the last line is lovely. inspires me to consider opening that door and stepping outside (dare i?) :-) perfect for this season, when i'm so tempted to shun everything outdoorsy -- thanks. ~karma

You got it wrong m.e., it was not hockey, that guess was wrong and part of his name had to do with the school he attended, he left us guessing.
