I am

Sitting, lost in the reverb of a turntable playing
within a small room, eyes glossy like magazines
with daydreams of unstable atoms and underwater
creatures as of yet unseen, could you fathom
something possibly closer than you would think, or even
swimming somewhere deep, possibly several leagues
under the sea, in the ocean-
where we all share ancestry,
where we all came from
so simple a design,
so easy was the urge
to grow,
to know

to devour and to join,

but I sit here, so alone,

trying to atone
for my sin
of preferring music and mathematics
to the unsure doubts of complications
that came with
smashing my skin
to her skin

and all the songs sing of love,
but all I knew was lust

you've got to trust me on this,
but I still think that's all there is

and maybe I'm wrong,
but it's my right to make the mistake of being me

still in the labyrinth of a song,
alone, and trying to like it, for the sake of trying
only quitting when I'm too tired
to continue vying for your love

but you must know,
you're still holy
in my bible

and every time I hear a guitar,
or a piano,
I think of you

and have to sit still for a moment,
trying to shake the truth
that I'm incomplete,
when playing dress up,
and make believe

pretending to be
me

sorry to be so dense. What does that mean: "so long since Ann put locks on the doors?"

probably that ann's gone and put some basic spam protection on posting new lines

sorry, to respond so late, but I've been working alot lately, and my avatar hasn't done its job of posting for me. Yeah, what þ said. I've been posting here on and off for almost ten years, and I just dropped by and I got the bot check. It was all like, "who's there? you're not a robot? okay, i guess you can come in, but if you try anything funny, you're a dead toaster oven!"
