Life's Solution

I know I've put you through a lot.
I'm learning myself
and I want this to be
finding the next steps
together.
There's no rush.
Time reveals
everything.
We can sit and watch it all unfold
Moving on whenever we wish.
We can hold hands, or play leap frog,
making mistakes, teaching,
learning and growing together.
Separately we make mistakes,
but we are never truly separate.
All the paths are connected.
Watch the Sun smile, the trees
dance to the caress of the wind.
Next time kissed by a raindrop,
feel free to hug it back. It won't mind at all.
What you love is a part of you
It matters not if you're loved in return.
This is love
all encompassing.
Absolute peace, freedom
and perfection.

please let us not exchange banal pleasantries
as if we were strangers who shared nothing more than a few glances
and a brief sexual pouring
(let us agree that some estranged lovers can never be friends for the depth of the loss)
if to be an adult is to forcibly forget well then let me remind you
we could barley contain ourselves in restaurants
my lips tingled and twitched as they left yours
in desperate wanting
a darkness overwhelmed us
a flash deep darkness of finding
another in such singular space
now only lighting over long gone memories
and the sound in this heart is surely only sentiment?
but it is truly odd this closeness of distance
it is irrevocable and ludicrous all at once
but love can go that way
extinguished and drifting into the dark awaiting
or simply drifting to become an expression of expansion
a progress into nothingness yet to be named
and never to be touched again
by my want
