Coup Detat

Government goes its merry way
They just won an election
They'll overspend some, do favors
for their election money men
Lobbyists may fly some to beaches
far far away from the voters
to wheel on deals out of sight
of those who elected them
as employees paid with taxes.
So the government goes its merry way
Then one fine November day
a coup detat ousts the rascals
The employer cast his vote
and fired the government
in a bloodless coup detat
