Poem Number 19716
Shattered broken glass
--
Shattered broken pieces
of the glass lie on the cold floor
Torn flowers fell
and shattered slowly
from the shock of
this cold metallic society
--
Bronze doll tries to pull the flowers
back together
petal by petal
piece by piece
She wants to make them alive again
and to have something
to put back
into her purple vase...
--
This doll tries to pull them
back together in vain
Flowers are not immortal
once the petals broke
once they wilted
there is no going back....
--
They can't be pieced back together,
just like innocence that is lost brutally
can never be regained
never
--
Once blindness and innocence is lost
Only a cynical and cold heart remains
in the rubble of endless memmories of
innocent days spent so long ago...
the dusty shaded memmories of
love that was built and of love lost
haunt me still
to this day
--
Blood will drip
His blood will flow...his first, then mine
He'll get killed by his adversaries and rivals
And then my nemises will come after me too
What will their chess move be?
No action? Imprisonment? Or much worse?
We are both cursed
in many ways
But there is a shining star light left
Christ will lead me upon the right path
Christ died for all our sins
Christ will piece back my flowers' petals
Christ will forgive him too, if he only truly repents....
Christ will lead me to the right way
--
Innocence can never
be salvaged again
Once you loose it
You can never be the same
never never again.

Commentary:
I liked the picture you were pieceing (sorry I can't spell sometimes) together up until the whole Christ thing.. I'm just not a big religious person. But I found it thought provoking and most likely one of your best poems so far.
