Poem Number 10843
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth
across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don't go back to sleep.

Commentary:
Rumi poem is posted on my medicine cabinet, and helps me in down moments, when I don't feel like leaving bed. I posted it here, hoping it'll do same for you. :: Howie

I did love to read this in the dawning of this morning! Spooky and beautiful, it reminds me of one of those really good quality children's picture books I used to read my little ones. Nice gift to us! Thanks! R.J.G.

It's still true now, hundreds of years after this poem was written. If we want something we have to ask for it--go for it! -_ Morton

RJG :: Always intrigues me, how simple lines can haunt the psyche. Morton, I guess basic human feelings never change throughout the centuries. Thanks for "stopping by". :: Howie
