A Longing

Commentary:
A Longing (re-write)
----------------

Pining for him …
His wanton lips asking to be kissed,
hair my fingers seek to thread,
eyes kind,
enticing,
drawing me into their depths,
reaching, searching,
our gaze knit.

In his warm enveloping love,
I feel its depth, its honesty,
adoration wells in my chest.
Love strong, tender,
in give and take.
I love….
I am loved.

His gentle lips touch
mine,
leaving….
to trail kisses upon my neck;
quickening breath, eyelids close
I swim in the emotional sensation of him.

A moan escapes me,
frustration snatches
my daydreaming and
reality slaps me in the face,
emotions scalpel pierces my heart.
Oh, how I wish he was real…

My yearning screams….
as emptiness rushes my soul.

Like they say - dreams can't hurt you, but reality bites!
Reminds me of a couple times I wish I had left the alarm clock off :) Great imagery

yes, this is just putting a fictional dream onto paper. All for practice in poem writing :)
Thank you for your kind comment, much appreciated. :) Rae
