Poem Number 16920
I still walk
this winding trail
and remember
my heart lifted
in your embrace,
warmed by your
radient touch,
and the wishes ...
I follow
mostly by instinct,
yet still lose sight
of you sometimes.
I've made another wish,
though you might
be too far above
this canopy of night,
to see the twinkling.
(for me to see the twinkling)

Thanks much Ed :)
After posting I almost always try to change things, so here's a rewrite although I don't know if it's any better.
Still I walk this trail
and remember;
head lifted to the sight
heart warmed in your
radient embrace,
the wishes ...
~
I lost sight of you
at a bend (or fork)
in the road
Now even instincts
can't find the way back.
~
So, here's another wish ...
though you might
be too far above
this canopy of night,
for me to see
the twinkling.

nice poem, reflecting the longing for what once was.'a'

As a veteran of losing sight of "what was," this poem really hit home.
