Poem Number 971
And the princess in the flower dress comes
ebony laced, traces circles with her lips
in and around my heart
A light from her kiss lands ashore
and then no words suffice
An idle afternoon, spent by the pond
in a sunset vale beyond the knoll
of warm coloured flowers
and the flying Masked Ball of butterflies.
I will fight and die for a whiff of her fragrance
