Poem Number 16714

His Twilight
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.
his flesh
like an old wrinkled shirt
stained purple
worn, tired
flat.
.
propped up
pillowed.
.
shadowed by
antiseptic lighting.
.
his once strong face
stubbled gray
etched away.
.
this twilight is fading.
