A rose
Blood red velvet
Flushed with expectation
My eyes close upon it's secrets
I breathe in the silken promises
Contained within
A web of language
Intricately weaved
To capture and delight
Caressing my senses
Exciting my emotions
More than all the glory that fills
The evening skies
A rose he gave
Yet so much more
