Poem Number 10829

My loyal obedient pen!
Tracks lines that portray rats, men.
Left to right, it will traverse
white sheet, leaving trail of verse.
Carefully choreograph her,
to dance and whirl on paper,
tracing unrequited love;
then in a heartbeat, swerve,
and pirouette to joyful close --
pencil-pushing in, a rose.
Have trained my quill to wiggle,
twirl, turn, so I squiggle in,
lines that will seek a giggle.
Slow pen, but worth the struggle!

m.e., WW - Those who still use the old fashioned pen, know what I'm talking about. For ones who use only keyboard, someone needs to come up with a diffierent poem--any volunteers? Thanks for your comments. - Jim/SP
