Poem Number 2591

seasons
so black and hideous
sun shines bright in full eclipse

Commentary:
weather-watching
under the influence
but not under sway
we shiver and tremble
hoping the sunlight
is not so bright
that it will remove
any trace of winter
the fear of believing
the cycle has ended
winter will not visit again
keeps a steady eye
on the edges of experience
afraid to dive deeply
into the day
lest, in emerging
the springtime has
already gone away
-------
i hate this with a deep tranquil passion
-------
brutalizing accolades
