Poem Number 230
A thousand pictures
Litter my mind
Kidnapping words
Trying to get out
Mocking the familiar adage
Of images and utterances
I struggle
Scarcely breathing
Lungs crushed beneath the weight
Of cumbersome words
Painting no pictures
Nor inspiring notions of greatness.
