Poem Number 1703

all the animals come out at night, except for one
there are three reasons he wont show you his face
the first is that he does not know you
the second is that he does not owe you
and the last reason?
the reason for shadow?
this reason he keeps to himself
it's the remorse he ,felt for the last card he dealt
he left the Autumn winds obscure
and pain beneath it's leaves
