I have been writing poetry since I was in highschool, I have been through it all, had the criticism, and had the rejections. NOw I am 24 and have had several poems published in national journals. If you read a lot of poetry by various authors, revise like crazy, lighten up, open up your eyes, and you can write some great poetry. It takes work. When I critique, I do it to give you strength, because many are worse than I am and if I went lighter I wouldn't be doing you any favors.

I have yet to recieve any response to anything I have left here, be it negative or positive. I was initially enthused by this site but have lost the want to continue to read or contribute. I read someones comments about this site being a "click" I'm beginning to wonder if that person was right.

Maybe we should date our material and cull it each month. Title,Date,Author. So we can find our favorites after they close. We really do need to prune some of the older work and make room for new artists.

I have never receieved any sort of comments for poems I left here and the same ones seem to be here all the time. Maybe more variety more details etc.? Otherwise an excellent site!
